Pat and Anne Stotesbery
Pat, a native Minnesotan, and Anne, a native Montanan, met while attending Stanford University and the University of San Francisco, respectively. Only residing a hundred miles from their future home in the Napa Valley, they quickly fell in love with the world of wine.

Winegrowers since 1996, Pat and Anne have also acquired a historic pre prohibition era 1886 "ghost winery" on Howell Mountain and successfully launched hillside Cabernet Sauvignon house Ladera Vineyards. After establishing his family's new found wine country life, Pat found himself wanting to become more involved not only with his own winery, but also with the decisions being made throughout the entire California wine industry. In 2004, Pat became President of the Howell Mountain Vintners and Growers Association, where he has served as President since its inception and was recently elected as the 2008 President of the Napa Valley Vintners. Pat also serves on the board of the California Wine Institute.

With more than 10 harvests under their belts at Ladera Vineyards, Pat and Anne were once again ready for a new challenge and became interested in trying their hands at producing Pinot Noir. After visiting the Pillow Rd Vineyard site, a small Pinot Noir vineyard lined with old Gravenstein apple orchards on the southern edge of the Russian River Valley, they instantly knew the location would perfectly complement their time-honored family farming traditions.
